In addition, in the face of the increasingly popular smartphones, tablets and more touch devices, LG Display exhibited innovative touch in-cell technology AIT (Advanced In-cell Touch). AIT improves and upgrades traditional touch technology, allowing the integrated touch display to have better touch performance and narrower borders, making it possible to design thinner mobile phones, tablets and other products.

In the field of mobile phone screens, LG Display has launched an upgraded version of "AH-IPS Plus" technology. By changing the arrangement of the original liquid crystal materials, AH-IPS Plus technology increases the light transmittance by 20% to 30%. On the one hand, it can improve the resolution, and on the other hand, it can bring bright pictures with low energy consumption. 5.5-inch FHD products and 5.7-inch QHD products equipped with AH-IPS Plus technology were also displayed at the SID site.

Jiang Yubing, chief technology officer of LG Display, said that the future display after LCD will be OLED. This change will make the display transition from filtered backlight display to self-luminous display, which is another leap in display technology. Due to the self-luminous properties of OLED, OLED display devices have the advantages of being able to present perfect black, respond quickly, and have no viewing angle restrictions. They have special advantages in realizing future display technologies such as bendable, foldable, and transparent displays. In the future display field, OLED will be the right solution.
